What I Got for Christmas

I’m just going to show a few things that I got for Christmas 2023 as this year, I am focusing less on ‘stuff’. For the last few years, I have been on a journey to try to buy less and I want my online spaces to reflect this. So here are a small collection of the gifts I gratefully received.

Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Set

My daughter and I love Sol de Janeiro. We share a couple of scents, moisturisers and body washes. I was lucky enough to receive this Jet Set pack and the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 71 hair and body scent. The travel sizes mean they are perfect for my gym bag and handy for my post-swim showers. I tend to refill these cute little bottles and tubs when they run out either with the full-sized product or any dupes I can find.

Thanks It’s Mac lipstick

Lily Pebbles recommended this shade of Mac lipstick in a YouTube vlog I watched so I added it to my wish list. I always wear similar shades during the day especially when I am in the office. It is glossier than my other favourite, Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk which is a matte lipstick. This is ideal for the winter months as my lips tend to get dry in the cold weather.

Knitwear

I live in cosy jumpers throughout the Autumn and Winter months. I love wearing longer ones like this one from Mango with leggings or shorter ones (pictured below from H&M) tucked into wide fit jeans. Recently, I have had a fairly neutral colour palette in my wardrobe, gravitating towards greys, blacks and beiges. In 2024, I will try to be a bit more colourful. I’ve seen a lot of red on Instagram which should be a a nice place for me to ease back in.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed my What I got for Christmas post and had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Bx *I DO NOT receive any commission or rewards for any of the links in this post. I have just linked the items for your convenience 🙂

ASOS Spring OOTD Wish List

It is still really cold in the UK at the moment but I have started thinking about my Spring wardrobe as we have booked a Summer holiday. Woo hoo! We are off to Turkey this year and I wanted to start searching for a few key items for our trip. While I was looking, I found these really cute and casual items which I thought would go together quite nicely so I decided to share an OOTD with you. (Andy asked me what an ‘oouutted’ was the other day and I realised he didn’t know that OOTD stood for ‘Outfit of the Day’!)

SPRING WISH LIST_edited-1

High Neck Striped T-shirt, New Look Khaki Duster, ASOS Distressed Jeans, River Island Tortoise Shell Sunglasses, Grey Converse Trainers,

All these gorgeous bits are from ASOS as they seem to be my ‘go to’ fashion website of the moment. I am loving earthy tones and have a serious need to be casual, so I opted for this Khaki coloured duster, which is perfect for layering in this really changeable weather but can also be dressed up or down depending on your trousers and footwear. I wanted to smarten the distressed jeans with a nice pair of loafers but my gut was telling me that I really like these Converse Trainers, so lets go with that today.

I have a real love affair with sunglasses but since having children, I can never stomach spending over £100 on something so trivial. I go in to full on mummy mode and think of all the food shopping I can buy with that cash and save by choosing these funky little tortoise shell sunnies instead. Realistically though I’m sure if I chose a pair of Miu Miu’s or Dior’s that one of the children will probably end up bending the arms back anyway!

Lastly to finish off the look, I thought I would go for a red and white stripey tee because anyone who tells you that you have too many striped tops is not the type of person you need in your life!

Thanks for checking out my OOTD today. I really hope it has been a good read. Let me know if you have found any other gems from ASOS and I should be back in a couple of days with my Summer Holiday Wish Lish Haul. Bx
