About Me

Hello, thanks for visiting my blog and taking a look around. My name is Beth and I live in Somerset with my husband Andy and our two children, Annabelle and Heath.

My blog started off as a place where I could talk about food and craft but as time has gone on, fashion and parenting has taken over! I love all of these things but I guess I find it easiest and most natural to talk about the last two subjects because not only do I find lots to say about it, you seem to enjoy respond best to these too.

I thought I would leave my previous profile below because it has a bit about my life growing up so feel free to have a quick read.

I would love to hear from you and get to know you too. You can contact me on my blog or social media. Bx

Hello. Welcome to my website where I hope you find lots of inspiration to add a modern twist to your home cooking and craft projects.

Growing up in London, I spent my weekends and school holidays helping my Thai mother and Irish father in our family-run cookery school, restaurants and cafes.

Mum's Award

The picture above is of my parents and me at the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty the King of Thailand’s accession to the Throne. My mum, Sue Montgomery, received an award for promoting Thai Culture and Thai Cuisine in the UK.

Our Thai Cookery School, was in West London, near Ealing. We sold it when my father was diagnosed with bowel cancer, in 2010. Sadly, he passed away in Spring 2011.

I started experimenting with food from a young age and have recently begun combining the best of Thai and English cuisine. Some of the dishes I have made include red curry cottage pie, lemongrass chicken escalope and another lemongrass infused dish, Thai sausage rolls.

As a mother of a very active toddler, I don’t have much time to cross stitch but I’m currently working on a birth sampler. In the picture below, I was very pregnant and working on my Four Bears project.

And this is a picture of my daughter and me when she was three-months-old:
