What I Ate Wednesday 24.06.15

Welcome to my first ever ‘What I Ate Wednesday’! As I mentioned in my last post, ‘My Monday Meals’ is no longer *sheds a tear*… Only joking! New is better. Don’t forget to check out my YouTube video below to see everything I ate today.

Breakfast

Bagel

I’ve been stuck in a bit of breakfast rut at the moment and have the same thing every single day. It’s not particularly healthy either so I probably need to change the menu. I had a New York Co Cinnamon and Raisin Bagel with Philadelphia cream cheese. I tried these fresh blueberries from Iceland and I’m not sure if it was just a dodgy batch but I wasn’t that impressed. They haven’t stayed fresh for long and tasted like perfume. (Sorry about the picture quality. I forgot to take a picture!)

Lunch

Khao Mun Gai

My mum made a traditional Thai meal today, Khao Mun Gai. It is boiled cornfed chicken with garlic and ginger steamed rice and a chilli soybean sauce. In Thailand this is commonly eaten with sliced cucumber but we ran out so we had broccoli instead.

Dinner

Pizza Express

I fell asleep at my mum’s house and woke up 10 minutes after I was supposed to be meeting a friend. This meant that I was late to meet her and didn’t get home until 5.45pm. As the children had all the leftover cottage pie, Andy and I had a less healthy dinner. We shared a Pizza Express Sloppy Giuseppe from the freezer. I should have had a side salad with my meal but I was pretty exhausted as Heath woke up every 1-2 hours from 11pm-5am and then from that point he decided he was no longer tired!

Snack

I was a bit naughty today and had two unhealthy snacks. At 10ish am I was so hungry as I’d had an early breakfast. I should have had had an apple but decided I needed a Cadbury’s Lu bar as it tasted better with my Dragonfly Tea which was Vanilla Rooibos. If you are pregnant and are looking for a caffeine free alternative, I would definitely recommend this.

In the evening, I had a decaf Nespresso with Tesco’s Finest Sticky Toffee Pudding. Naughty!

    That is such a great vlog, Beth. Amazing how you can hold the camera steady like that. Don’t think I can do that since my hands shake quite a bit holding a camera. Like you, I tend to have the same thing for breakfast each morning, slice of bread and a cup of milk, throwing in a banana every alternate day. Simple, yet keeps me going. I hope you have a better experience with the blueberries, dodgy :/

    To be honest, that pizza looks good despite coming from the freezer 😀

      Thanks, Mabel. I’m still not great at holding the camera steady but hopefully I’ll get better in time!
      The pizza was very nice but to be honest, I’m surprised I could taste it considering how fast I inhaled it. I was so hungry! Bx
