Postpartum Update: 4 Months

Four Months Postpartum

My handsome little man. I can’t believe you’re four months old! Where has the time gone? I miss your newborn eyes and teeny tiny toes but love how you are beginning to look like a grown up boy at the same time.

You are fiercely determined and developing rapidly because of it. You’ve been rolling over from front to back for nearly two months now as you’re not a big fan of tummy time. You’re also moving a fair bit by pushing up on your legs and knees. I’m scared that it won’t be long until you’re crawling as we haven’t baby proofed the house yet! I also can’t believe how well you’re picking up objects and putting them in your mouth. You are my clever boy.

Even your sleeping habits are improving. You’ve slept for 8 hours on more than one occasion. It hasn’t happened recently since but it has given me hope! You tend to sleep longer at night in your sleep snuggler too. This must be something you’ve inherited off me as daddy and Annabelle never really feel the cold.

I love your big eyebrows, your blue eyes and your fluffly hair. Especially your hair. It’s so soft and fine and starting to grow over your ears. You remind me so much of my dad, with your thin lips and your eyes. Those knowing eyes that make me think that you know so much and understand me already.

This month you are:

  • Talking a lot and interacting with everyone.
  • You love toys especially soft animals you can cuddle.
  • In 3-6 months and size 3+ nappies.
  • Waking 1-2 times each night to feed.
  • Your eyes are still blue.
  • You still have a bald patch at the back of your head!

Lots of love,

Mummy x

  1. What a cute little boy Heath is. Sounds like most of the time he is happy and enjoying the world around him, and doesn’t seem to be giving you too many problems. Maybe once he starts moving on two feet he will be more of a handful around the house 😉

    1. Thank you, Mabel. He is quite a handful now but generally a good boy. He has his moments like most babies but nothing out of the ordinary! X
