33 weeks pregnant! Only 7 weeks left… I’m getting nervous now.
I am: 33 weeks pregnant.
I’m wearing: A Mothercare maternity T-Shirt and trousers from my first pregnancy three years ago.
I weigh: 141lbs/64kg
I’ve gained: No weight since last week.
How I’m feeling: Awful! I’ve had horrendous pain in my lower back near my left hip. It feels like it needs to be clicked into place and if it doesn’t improve then I will need to see my midwife and possibly a chiropractor. The pregnancy pillow that my friend has given to me has been a great help and even Andy likes it because he says that I don’t end up in the middle of the bed at night when I use it.
Highlight: Annabelle has started Preschool this week and she’s settled in really well. A bit too well sometimes! She’s desperate to start in the mornings and she gives me a kiss and a cuddle and tells me ‘Goodbye’, as in ‘I can leave now!’ Charming. She does complain when we get ready and is hesitant to put on her clothes but once we are in the car and arrive, she’s eager to play.
The baby is: the size of a pineapple. I swear it has a party in my belly everyday because all it seems to do is move a lot all day and all night. It is incredibly active and I’m actually really worried that it will be on the go more than Annabelle is. Let’s just say that if it is, at least Annabelle is now in Preschool because I don’t think I have the energy to keep up with both children everyday.
Food cravings: Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough. It was on offer in Sainsbury’s and Andy and I have finished the tub between us and now I’m hoping it’s still on offer so I can get some more. I sat and ate half a packet of Butterkist Cinema Style Popcorn too while watching Frozen with Andy and Annabelle. Belle is obsessed with that film and Tangled too.
Symptoms: As well as the pain in my lower back which I mentioned earlier, I have had indigestion and a nightly trip to the bathroom. The third trimester is definitely not as good as the second but at least it is better than the first… at the moment. I have a lot of Braxton Hicks which are so strong that I need to stop and concentrate on breathing slowly.
My body: Is looking and feeling so big. I’m beginning to struggle to get off the sofa or out of bed but I really shouldn’t grumble as it’s not that bad and thankfully baby and I are healthy.
Any mood swings? Not really, it’s been quite a positive week.
I’m looking forward to: Another busy week with a birth preparation appointment too.
