The weather has been a bit changeable recently so we have been thinking of local places to go to that fuel the children’s love of the outdoors but also have shelter if the heavens decide to open up. One perfect place we have discovered is White Row Farm in Frome.

With a couple of bunnies for Heath to clap at and Shetland ponies to admire, he is easily amused while Annabelle burns off her endless supply of energy on the toy tractors, balance beams and climbing frame. There is a chip shop, cafe and farm shop if the munchies strike during a visit but this also means that if you visit before or after lunch, it is not too busy in comparison to Bath City Farm or Farringtons.

We had a spot of lunch in the cafe as a treat and I shared a steak and mushroom pie with Heath. It was amazing with succulent chunks of beef, puff pastry, mash potato and vegetables, I almost felt like having it all to myself!

Do you have any free or inexpensive places you have found recently to amuse the children over the school holidays? Bx

Lovely photos! They look very happy playing there, love that your son is happy watching the rabbits and ponies. Annabelle looks rather happy on the tractor too!

I used to live near here pre-baby. I have friends that live nearby so I’m definitely putting this on our to do list for when we visit them. What a lovely little place to visit. That bunny is so cute!!!!! I love inexpensive places. We have a little woods near to us that we love to go to to feed the ducks and the VERY friendly squirrels. 🙂 Days out like this are so precious aren’t they. Thank you so much for linking up to #whatevertheweather x

My pleasure. I recommended this place to a Twitter friend and she loved it so I hope you enjoy it too. The bunny is adorable isn’t it. I’m not normally a fan of rabbits but this one was particularly cute. X
