My goals for the New Year and throughout 2025 will be focused on certain outcomes. They are as follows:
- To declutter (the home and mind!)
- To save for things I really want
- To have a healthier body and mind
In 2024, I set a goal to read 21 books but I only managed 15. I’d like to better this in 2025 and read from a wider variety of genres and authors. My intention with this is to get out of my comfort zone and to learn more through reading. I find that I gravitate to ‘easy’ reads as they require less concentration.

As mentioned in my 2024 Favourites post, I have been trying to consume less. Not in terms of food, although I probably should snack less so that does apply here. I want to buy less and declutter in the home. My goal is therefore to save up each month for something I really want and not to get little bits here or there. In 2024, I spent over £700 less on myself than I did in 2023. I would love to do better this coming year.
I haven’t been the best at looking after myself and going to the gym this year. In 2025, my goal is not only to move more every day, I also need to exercise frequently and take advantage of the gym equipment available. In relation to this, I need to eat well. I’ve started taking a shot of ginger with honey every day. My mum finely chops the ginger and uses an ice cube tray to freeze them. We melt a cube each in warm water. I add a touch of honey to mine. Although, this is a good start, I need to build more healthy practices in to my daily routine.
