(*To be read) In my recent post I shared the books that I have read in 2024. You can read that post here: Books 2024. In 2025, I am making it my mission to read a wider variety of books from authors who are new to me and might not be from my usual genre. For example, I don’t read a lot of crime, fantasy or historical fiction. Listed below are some books I own, as they have been given to me or I have purchased them already. Initially I aim to read 15 of these titles. I have then added a few extra books in the hopes of reading a total of 25 in 2025.

- A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (Currently reading)
- Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin (Currently reading)
- Grown Ups by Marian Keyes (I started this in 2022 but can’t seem to make any progress. 2025 is the year I finish it!)
- Magnolia Parks by Jessa Hastings
- Intermezzo by Sally Rooney*
- The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Farrell
- Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell
- Notes on Heartbreak by Annie Lord
- The Bee Sting by Paul Murray
- Milkman by Anna Burns
- Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty*
- The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
- Verity by Colleen Hoover*
- How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie
- Still Life by Sarah Winman
- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
- Yellowface by R.F. Kuang
- Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors
- The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes*
- Life After Life by Kate Atkinson
- Case Histories by Kate Atkinson
- Sorrow and Bliss by Meg Mason
- Faithful by Alice Hoffman
- What a Way to Go by Bella Mackie
- Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano
Any book with an asterisk is an author I like as I have read some of their works already. I have added a few of these here or there so as not to lose momentum and struggle to find the motivation to read!
Titles in bold are books I am particularly excited to read. I see What a Way to Go recommended quite frequently. My colleague at work really recommends Maggie O’Farrell and I am very keen to read these two books.
What is on your TBR and would you recommend any of these titles? Bx
