Hello, it’s me again!

I’m sorry I couldn’t finish Blogtober, but there has been lots going on here that I really can’t go into. I am glad that I managed 23 days so I might try Blogmas in December.

Aqua Italia

In October, I turned 34. I had a lovely day with my family and my mum very kindly looked after Annabelle and Heath so that Andy and I could go out for dinner. He surprised me by booking a table at a restaurant but I had no idea where we were going until we arrived outside Aqua Italia in Bath. We had a delicious 3 course meal and the staff made an extra special effort knowing that it was my birthday.

Andy also surprised me with lots of amazing birthday presents. Firstly, I got this grey checked shirt from Oasis.

I was also given Lush Snow Fairy shower gel, one of their Bath bombs and this gorgeous Yankee Candle with a Berry Trifle scent.

Thanks for sticking by me while I’ve been away and I hope to be back again soon with a post about Childs Farm products. Until then, you can see what I think about their shampoo and conditioner in one of my YouTube videos from last month. Bx

My Birthday Wish List

At the end of the month, I turn 34. I am slightly nervous about this because it is officially mid-30s. But you know, I’ve seen a few Instagram images encouraging us to embrace our ageing days as some people don’t have that privilege, so I’m going to focus on that and other such positive vibes.

Growing up, we never had a lot of money so for birthdays my parents tended to give me a few little bits (often from Makro! Can you tell we were in the catering trade?) and a birthday card. It was only really when our family business built up a bit of steam that I was treated to some nicer gifts. What it has taught me, is the value of money. I don’t buy a lot of things and I only buy things that I feel that I will get a lot of use out of. My Chanel glasses for example cost £150 all in and I have worn them for the last five years as, thankfully, my prescription hasn’t changed. Anyway, what I am trying to say is I sometimes like to save up for some bigger purchase or ask for birthday money to put towards that and this is why my wish list may look like a strange combination of expensive and cheaper items.

The Rose Gold iPhone 6s is obviously the most expensive item here either on contract or to buy the handset alone. I am still in two minds about this because firstly, my current handset is the iPhone 5 and it is not in bad shape. I am tempted to wait for the iPhone 7 but I’m in love with the rose gold  and think, ‘Well what if that doesn’t come in that colour?’.

The Lush Snow Fairy shower gel is one of my most favourite smells of all time. It reminds me of eating Wham bars at a newsagents owned by my mum’s friend. I used to spend a lot of time there while my mum had a catch up on all the gossip.

I popped into Paperchase on Friday while Annabelle was in nursery and saw this beautiful Turquoise Glitter Diary. I have a Filofax but sometimes it’s just nice to have a book to record any important events.

I saw this Quote Mug on Caroline Hiron’s Instagram feed but I’m not sure if she got it from the Etsy shop as they only seem to deliver to the US. I might have to see if I can find a UK supplier because I really, really want it!

Admittedly, I don’t need a new watch. I have three and at £175, I can’t justify spending that much money. If I won the lottery though, this Kate Spade Watch is just too adorable to miss! Pink AND flamingos. Amazing!

Do you have anything you are currently lusting over? Let me know what is on your wish list. Bx
